The Florence-Darlington Technical Education Center was first established in 1963 with an initial enrollment of 250 students. FDTC now boasts an enrollment of more than 6,000 students and serves South Carolina's Pee Dee Region by providing a quality education to the community workforce.
In 2007, FDTC completed construction of the Southeastern Institute of Manufacturing and Technology (SiMT). This facility provides unique learning opportunities for FDTC students, promotes our relationship with the local business community, and reinforces our commitment to regional economic development.
